Teachers of English Seminar

Who is it for?

This seminar is for anyone who teaches English in mainstream schools to children between the ages of 7-16.

What is the aim of the seminar?

  • Workshop participants will learn about different methods and techniques of teaching English as a foreign language, discuss and share good practice in teaching English in the classroom.
  • The seminar will familiarise them with a range of certificates recognised worldwide by employers and universities and the exams available that may be of interest to their students, now and in the future.

The workshop will last 3 hours. At the end there will be an opportunity to talk informally to the teachers delivering the workshop and colleagues attending the workshop about teaching and common experiences in the classroom.

Refreshments will be provided.

Who will teach the seminar?

The seminar will be taught by Karl Wadsworth and Shirley Wadsworth - teachers from English Academy, who have extensive experience in teaching kids and adults in England. They have been working in English Academy for the last 4 years.

Materials

All participants in this workshop will receive a pack of teaching resources for use in the classroom and information relating to the different internationally recognised certificates and exams available to students in Bulgaria.

When is the seminar and how do I apply?

The seminar is on Wednesday 22nd September at 11am at English Academy's offices at Preslav 48, Independence square. To apply, you need to fill in the application form which can be obtained from our offices or online. The deadline for applications is Friday 17th September, but reserve your place early to avoid disappointment as numbers are limited.
